Dear Friends,
The Board of Directors would like to formally introduce and welcome our new Executive Director Andrea Colliton to our Jeff’s Place Community. Andrea brings more than 22 years of experience dedicated to supporting children and families through some of life’s most challenging moments. For the past 12 years, she has served as Director of Family-Child Life Services at Tufts Medical Center. Her leadership experience is built upon her clinical background as a Certified Child Life Specialist, with an extensive background supporting children and families navigating serious illness, loss, and end-of-life care.
Andrea is also a passionate educator and has served for more than eight years as an adjunct faculty member at Boston University’s Wheelock College of Education and Human Development. Her teaching has focused on supporting children and families in healthcare, working with parents, lifespan development, the meaning and development of play, and child and adolescent mental health. Currently completing her Doctor of Education in Leadership, Andrea is thrilled to join Jeff’s Place as Executive Director. This role brings together two areas that have shaped her career: a deep commitment to children and families and a passion for compassionate, mission-driven leadership. Andrea is looking forward to working alongside the Jeff’s Place community to build upon its meaningful work, foster hope and healing, and advance its vision that no one should grieve alone.
Please join us in giving her a warm welcome! We hope you get a chance to meet her in the coming months as we start our new program year. If you want to reach out to Andrea directly, she can be contacted at:

Spring Benefit Raised More Than $180,000 to Support Jeff’s Place

|
On June 4th, more than 140 members of the Jeff’s Place community gathered to celebrate, remember, and support one another at our 15th Anniversary Spring Benefit.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors, donors, volunteers, auction participants, storytellers, and guests, we raised more than $180,000 to help ensure that Jeff’s Place grief support services remain available at no cost to children, teens, young adults, and families.
A special thank you to emcee David Brown for bringing such energy to the evening, and to the courageous Jeff’s Place family members who shared their stories and reminded us why this work matters. Much appreciation to the event planning committee: Peter Barron, Matthew Bergstresser, Tina Burke, Susan Patkin and the entire Jeff’s Place staff team!
