Clinical Director
POSITION: Clinical Director
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
STATUS: Part-Time (24 hrs/week Sept – June & 16 hrs/week July and August)

ABOUT JEFF’S PLACE:
Jeff’s Place offers hope and healing in a supportive community for grieving children, families, and individuals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide clinical leadership and oversight for all Jeff’s Place programming, ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed grief support for children, teens, adults, and families.
• Supervise and support clinical staff, interns, and volunteer facilitators, including clinical supervision and performance evaluations.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of grief support groups and individual counseling services.
• Conduct clinical intakes and assessments with families to determine program readiness and make appropriate referrals when necessary.
• Maintain a small caseload of individual clients.
• Lead crisis response efforts in schools and the community following deaths or traumatic losses.
• Facilitate ongoing training and professional development for staff and volunteers.
• Maintain and enhance relationships with community partners, schools, and referral sources.
• Ensure adherence to best practices, ethical standards, and clinical documentation requirements.
• Stay current in the bereavement and mental health fields through continuing education, workshops, and conferences.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director and leadership on program development, evaluation, and strategic planning.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master’s degree and licensure (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or equivalent) in social work, counseling, expressive therapies, or a related clinical field.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, including direct service with grief, trauma, and loss.
• Demonstrated experience in clinical supervision and program oversight.
• Proficiency in clinical documentation and comfort using electronic record systems.
• Strong facilitation skills and experience leading therapeutic or psychoeducational support groups.
• Ability to work 1–2 evenings per week to accommodate group schedules.
