Grief Support in Spanish
Bereavement Groups
Parent / Caregiver Loss Group
We offer a free Spanish-speaking support group, twice monthly, for children and teens ages 3.5 – 18 and their caregivers who have experienced a meaningful death loss. While children and teens are meeting, caregivers also meet in their own support group. Group nights start at 6:00pm and run approximately 2 hours. Each group is facilitated by a clinician and a grief-informed volunteer.
This new group is accepting applications on a waitlist, and is projected to begin in the 2026 program year.
Individual Support
Counseling
We recognize that not everyone feels comfortable in a group setting or sometimes might need more individualized support as everyone grieves in their own unique way. We offer grief counseling to individuals on a sliding scale from $75 – 200 per hour. Depending on need, pro bono sessions may be available, thanks to the generosity of The Parmenter Foundation. We cannot accept insurance because we do not use diagnostic codes.
Other Offerings
Family Consultations
Sometimes, finding the right words to talk to a child about death is hard. We offer family consultations to help support and guide that conversation. Our initial consultations by phone or in person are free of charge. For more information, email info@jeffsplace.org.
For questions or more information about any of the above programming please contact us directly.
